Steven Spielberg’s Film “Lincoln” Will Be in Theaters November 16th

Lincoln, the film about the last four months of the 16th president’s life from director Steven Spielberg, is scheduled for limited release on November 9th, 2012, and will be in theaters nationwide on November 16th. 

The film is based on writer/historian Doris Kearns Goodwin’s book Team of Rivals:  The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln.  Daniel Day-Lewis stars as President Lincoln.  Day-Lewis is known for intense preparation  and for completely immersing himself in his film roles, characteristics that have produced excellent performances in other historical movies he’s appeared in, such as The Last of the Mohicans and Gangs of New York.  Other notable stars include Sally Field as Mary Todd Lincoln, Tommy Lee Jones as Radical Republican leader Thaddeus Stevens, and the underrated David Strathairn as Secretary of State William Seward.  Here’s a look at the film’s trailer:
